Teacher Pearl

Dearest Skyler,

Papa brought you for your gym lesson today. Mama had some work to rush so she couldn’t come along though she badly wanted to.

When we got to the usual carpark we go to, there weren’t any available lots and we had to wait. You actually told Papa that you wanted to go home! But when Papa clarified, you did want to go for your gym lesson. :D You just wanted to get out of your seat and you were a bit confused.

As it looked as it was going to drizzle, Papa drove over to the carpark in the building where the gym is instead to park.

Today was the first lesson of another term, Lil’ One. You so enjoyed the last term that we decided that we had to let you continue. Papa really doesn’t know how much of these gym lessons you’ll remember but it’s important that you enjoy yourself now. You’ve learnt so much from these lessons – you’ve grown in confidence and you’ve come to learn to accept other people – like your teachers here.

At several parts of the lesson, you kept on asking for Teacher Pearl to come and help you though Papa was there. :D You seem to really like her, Lil’ One. And we think that Teacher Pearl likes you too. However, you’re still very shy with the other kids and adults so you still run away or stay away from them when they come too close to you. Thus, you sometimes wander away from the teacher though you want her to come and help you with the skills. Oh well…

After the lesson was over, you got a couple of stamps from Teacher Pearl and you also gave her a hug. You’d actually wanted to hug her inside the gym area but she was busy with the other kids and other admin stuff so you could only do that at the admin area once the other kids and their parents had left. :p Well, we’ll see her again, okay? :D

Papa then drove you home to pick Mama up for lunch. Papa didn’t bring you for your customary Milo drink after the gym as Papa wanted to get home as early as possible. :p You asked for the Milo in the car but we’d already left. Sorry!

By the time we got home, you were already sound asleep. We picked Mama up from our place and drove over to the Point for a dim sum lunch – yes, once more. :p You ate up a whole egg tart and a char siew bao all by yourself. You’re getting very good at feeding yourself with a fork and a spoon. Well done, Lil’ One! :D

After lunch, Mama brought you to watch the Sharity Elephant performance at the stage area and she got you a sheet of stickers. Mama had to ask the performance helpers for it as they had already packed away everything as we were a bit late but they were nice enough to give it to you. :D

Papa picked up his new spectacles today. :D You got used to it very quickly though you did a double-take when Mama pointed it out to you. :D

We then came home to rest. We all took a nap in the afternoon and only woke up in the evening.

We ordered pizza in for dinner. Mama and Papa had also eaten the curry chicken that Uncle James and Aunty Chris gave us. It was very yummy. You wanted to try it but it was too spicy for you right now. Mama gave you a small taste and you couldn’t take it. :p You had a bit of cheese pizza and garlic bread. We also gave you an apple and some of the durian cake left over from Mama’s birthday celebration yesterday. You’re really eating a whole lot more, Lil’ One. It’s so amazing the amount of food that you’re willing to try and actually eat. :D It’s so easy to get food now. And it’s so much easier since you’ve learnt how to use a fork and spoon. :D

We didn’t go out in the evening as Papa needed to do some house chores and we wanted you to have an early night so that we could go to church in the morning and you would be sufficiently rested.

Papa and Mama love you!
