Skyler’s Still Not Well

Dearest Skyler,

Papa asked for childcare leave today to stay home to help care for you.

You slept most of the morning away and woke up about mid-morning. You woke all of us up and you appeared to be a bit better after your sleep. However, we still didn’t dare to feed you your milk as we were afraid that it would trigger off another round of diarrhoea. You woke up asking for more of the Freezer Pop and we gave you what we had re-froze from last night as quite a bit had melted before you were done and you didn’t want to drink it.

We asked Aunty Chris to get you some bean milk as she had gone off to the market this morning. When she came back with it, we fed it to you and you took a bit. Thankfully, you didn’t boom it out.

We decided to take out Bubu and Moh-moh’s train set for you to play with. They had wanted us to open it for your birthday but we wanted to put it in your room when it was ready. However, as we still don’t have help to move the furniture and since you are not well, we decided to let you play with your new toy! :D

You were very sleepy after a while and we put you back to bed. You slept for a straight six hours! :p

You were decidedly better when you woke up. You had more energy and definitely much more alert. We fed you some bean milk and plain bread as we were still worried about your diarrhoea. You managed to eat and drink most of what we gave you. You also asked for more Freezer Pop so we gave you a new tube. However, you didn’t like the taste of the orange one so Papa had to eat it. We gave you a new blue one which you totally love! When you boomed, it was still watery but it was not as bad as yesterday. Thank God!

Mama was still exhausted in the afternoon so Papa watched you while she went back to take a nap. Poor Mama!

Papa and Mama love you!

Skyler Has Diarrhoea

Dearest Skyler,

Poor Lil’ One! You continued to have a very high fever this morning. Mama spent the whole day towelling you to cool your body down as we didn’t dare to overdose you on the anti-fever medicine. However, you were so feverish that you didn’t like the feel of the cool wet towel and you kept on trying to stop Mama though you were so sleepy and lethargic. However, you did fall asleep and Mama kept on towelling you while you slept.

In the afternoon, Papa rushed home to help care for you as Mama was already so tired. Her being pregnant made her even more tired than usual. Poor Mama! By the time Papa got home, you had already started having diarrhoea! But you seemed to have stopped for a while after Papa got home so we thought that maybe it had gone away. However, your fever was still very high so we went to the doctor’s to get some more fever medicine.

We then came home to rest and try to have dinner. Papa had dropped you both off before heading to the Causeway Point to get some bean milk for you. We had tried to get it from around our area to no avail.

After Papa got home, you kept on moving your bowels almost uncontrollably. You were hungry and thirsty but everything we gave you seemed to come out almost immediately. You boomed four times in less than an hour after Papa got home. We were so worried about you dehydrating that we decided to rush you off to see the doctor.

There was a long queue waiting to see him tonight. This was so unusual. Oh well… We waited for a while before we could get in. We decided to buy some more diapers for you in case your diarrhoea didn’t stop. We got in to see the doctor soon after. The doctor prescribed some diarrhoea medicine for you and he also gave you THREE balloons! :D

We brought you home and you continued to move your bowels a couple more times. We tried to get you to take the diarrhoea medicine though it tasted very terrible. Thankfully, though it took a very long time, you managed to take in most of it in the Ribena drink we had made for you. You were so sleepy by then but we wanted to make sure that you took in the medicine. Papa was so worried that Papa was all ready to bring you to the hospital. Mama remained calm and wanted to let you have some sleep before we did that as she knew that you would be totally traumatised by a visit to a hospital – especially since you hardly had any sleep.

We also let you try the Pedialyte Freezer Pops and you totally loved the blue raspberry flavoured one! :D You kept on sucking on it until there was nothing left. Thank God you were willing to take this. At least some of your hydration needs was met. :D

Thankfully, you managed to go to sleep without any problems and you stayed asleep throughout the night. You must have been so exhausted, Lil’ One. Poor Baby Gal!

Recover quickly, Lil’ One!

Papa and Mama love you!

Skyler Has Gastric Flu

Dearest Skyler,

You vomited during lunch today. Mama thought that it was because you were rejecting the porridge that Papa had prepared as it was a bit burnt. However, later on, you vomitted again when Mama tried to feed you some milk. Papa remembered that the last time you vomitted was when you were suffering from a flu. Remember, you had vomitted in the Duckie Mobile?

In the evening, after Papa got home, you vomitted once more while Papa was feeding you milk. We decided that we had to bring you to a doctor to find out what was going on. Thus, we suited up and went to look for your Balloon Uncle.

Balloon Uncle suspected that you had gastric flu as quite a number of kiddies that he had seen the past couple of days all had that as well. He gave you some vomit-suppressing medicine but we knew that you wouldn’t take it so we didn’t even try to give it to you. :p

However, your fever was very high so we had to give you a suppository to help bring the temperature down. You managed to get to sleep after some time and Mama kept on towelling you to bring your temperature down.

Poor Sweet Baby Gal!

Papa and Mama love you!

Doctor Set

Dearest Skyler,

Mama and you stayed home to play the whole day today. You grabbed the bottle of love letters and dashed to behind the curtain and played hide and seek with Mama with it. :D After that, Mama gave you a couple of kueh baulu to eat for tea. :D

In the evening, Papa came home and brought us all out to the Point for dinner. We had a pizza dinner before going around shopping. While we were having dinner, you kept on licking your lips and rubbing your tummy in imitation of the actions of ‘Cookie’ from Fun Song Factory when he sang the pizza maker’s part from the market song. :D

Mama went over to the kid’s department store to look for a doctor’s set for you. We bought one that had a stethoscope and such. You had so much fun with it when we got home.

We also bought a couple of other things before heading home.

Papa and Mama love you!

Gym Time

Dearest Skyler,

You kept on waking up this morning. You woke up once at 3 something in the morning and again at 7 something. This of course meant that all of us had to awake as well to keep you company. Both times you wanted some milk. Thankfully, you managed to go back to bed soon after.

However, as you had so little sleep, we decided that we couldn’t go to church as you would need to rest. By the time you woke up, we had to rush to get to the gym for your class.

We managed to get there in time and again you managed to join in all the group activities. We’re so proud of you. You’ve gotten used to following instructions. :D We did lots of things there as usual. You’re such a brave girl in performing the skills but you’re still quite shy and thus afraid of the teachers and the other children to some extent.

After the gym, we headed off to the fish restaurant for lunch. The waitress che-che remembered us from our previous visits and came to play with you. You were still quite shy but managed to interact with her a bit. :D

After lunch, we went down to the bookstore to shop a bit. You picked up books to flip through as usual. It’s always so cute to see you sitting down and flipping through books. You so look like you know how to read. :D As we were preparing to leave, Papa had to visit the gents and you wanted to follow Papa. Mama held you back so that Papa didn’t have to take care of you in there but you cried and cried for Papa. You were so sad! Papa could hear you crying all the way in the gents! :(

We tried to take a nap once we got back but you refused. Thus, Mama and Papa only had a few minutes of sleep. At least we had that. While we were still trying to sleep, you started jumping on the bed even though we told you to stop. You didn’t listen and you hurt Papa quite badly. Thankfully, nothing serious resulted from it.

We drove down to the Point for dinner at the Chinese restaurant. The waitress aunties there so remember us by now as we eat there so often nowadays. Our favourite aunty came to say hello too. :D After dinner, we walked around a bit before heading home.

You’re beginning to get a bit naughty, Lil’ One. You refuse to listen to us and keep doing dangerous things. Papa sometimes gets frustrated with this but Papa keeps on reminding himself that you are still young and still do not understand as yet. We do hope that you learn to be safe soon.

Papa and Mama love you!

Grandma’s Visit

Dearest Skyler,

Papa had to go in to work today but somehow you slept all the way until quite late. Thus, Mama didn’t have to take care of you for too long alone today.

Once Papa got home, we drove down to the Point for a dim sum lunch. After lunch, Papa wanted us to go back immediately as Papa needed to sleep. Papa was exhausted after the week’s work. :( So, we came home to rest. All of us went to sleep! :p

Grandma came while we were still sleeping. Papa got up to let her in but went back to sleep soon after. Mama then woke up to keep Grandma company while Papa and you stayed asleep.

After we got up, we drove down to the nearby Bengawan Solo factory to buy some New Year goodies. :D There wasn’t really that much stuff on sale but we managed to pick up a few things.

We then went to buy dinner to bring to Papa’s Aunt’s place. Yee-poh was waiting for us. We had dinner there and visited for a short while. They had a dog with them and you were so scared of her! She was such a friendly dog and came to kiss you but you got so scared! You were so poor thing! :( Anyway, since you were so afraid, Uncle Thomas brought her down for a walk so that you could be less afraid. :p

We then came home to rest.

Papa and Mama love you!

Mopping the Floor

Dearest Skyler,

You asked Mama to let you have the mop so that you could mop the floor this afternoon. You were so cute! :D

In the evening, we drove down to have dinner at Swensen’s where you got another balloon. We then walked around John Little’s for a while where you played with their sunglasses and also sat in a stroller. :D

Papa and Mama love you!

Zoo!

Dearest Skyler,

Papa came home a bit earlier today as he had promised to bring you to the zoo this afternoon. Papa came back later than he’d expected but he still brought you as he wanted to keep his promises to you!

We walked around quite a big part of the zoo even though we got there so late. The zoo was supposed to have closed soon after we got there but nobody asked us to leave so we walked around most of the exhibits. However, we found that most of the animals had already been brought into their shelters for the night. Still, we took quite a bit of photos where we could. We also were shown the secret path to the elephant enclosure so that we could see the elephants in their shelter. :D

We then had your customary Milo before heading home to pick Mama up to have dinner at the Point. We ate at the pasta place before walking around a bit before heading home.

Papa and Mama love you!

Moh-moh’s Day

Dearest Skyler,

You spent the whole day with Moh-moh today as Mama had to attend a meeting in school in the afternoon. You had so much fun with her! :D She also brought you downstairs for a walk and everything! :D

In the evening, Mama and Papa came home to bring both Moh-moh and you down to United Square for dinner. We met Bubu there as well. We then shopped a bit and you also had a couple of rides in the kiddie rides sponsored by Bubu and Moh-moh before heading home.

Papa and Mama love you!

Blowing Bubbles in Water

Dearest Skyler,

We stayed home the whole day today. While you were at home, you learnt how to blow bubbles in your drink! :D You’re so fascinated by it that you keep on doing it! :p Hmmm… try to not do it so often? It’s not very hygienic. :p

In the evening, Mama played her organ and you pushed a stool next to her and began to dance along to the music she was playing! You were SO cute! :D

Papa and Mama love you!

Haircut

Dearest Skyler,

Popo and Gong-gong came to visit you today. You, as usual, had lots of fun playing with them. You especially like to play hide and seek with Gong-gong. :D They also brought you down as usual for a walk downstairs which you always enjoy. :D

After Papa came home, they left for their own home and we went down to the Point for dinner at the Chinese restaurant once again. Yes, we seem to be eating there quite a lot nowadays. It’s all up to what Mama can eat now. And it’s Baby that controls that! :p

We then brought you for a haircut at your usual salon. :D We will stick with the same hairdresser as he seems to be very patient with us and knows how to do your hair nicely. :p And he’s not even specialised in cutting toddlers’ hair! :p So much for those hair places that say that they specialise in cutting young children’s hair.

Papa and Mama love you!

Children’s Church

Dearest Skyler,

We went for Children’s Church today. You again hung out on the sidelines as you didn’t want to mix it up with the bigger kids. :p After church, we went over to have lunch at Sushi Tei.

We had dinner in the Chinese restaurant at the Point.

Papa and Mama love you!

Busy Saturday

Dearest Skyler,

We drove down for your gym class in the morning. You so took part in the group activities! We’re so glad that you’re so excited by the gym. You’ve also learnt how to be with a group of your peers and to take turns. It’s so great! :D

After that, Papa had to visit the chiro so Mama and you waited for Papa in the treatment room with Papa. You were so curious about what Papa was going through. :D And you were so well-behaved in there! Thank you for being so patient!

After that, we had a dim sum lunch at a nearby restaurant. We had the usual yummy stuff that you like! You ate quite a bit of the stuff. :D

We then went home for a nap.

In the evening, we drove down to Uncle Peter and Aunty Nikki’s. Our church group was having a gathering there. You played with your Sunday School friends and had a chance to play with a stethoscope. Hmmm… should we get you your own doctor’s kit?

Papa and Mama love you!

Aunty Caroline’s Visit

Dearest Skyler,

Aunty Caroline came to visit today for a short while. She’s Mama’s old friend from school.

In the evening, we drove down to the Point for dinner. We had a spaghetti and pizza dinner before heading up to the ice cream restaurant for some ice cream. We picked up another balloon for you. :D We really have a whole collection of balloons from there. :D Glad to know that balloons interest you, Lil’ One! :D

We then came home to rest.

Papa and Mama love you!

Gynae Visit / Grandma’s Birthday!

Dearest Skyler,

We went down to see Mama’s Baby Doctor this afternoon. You had such a fun time running around the waiting area and climbing up and down furniture. After seeing baby through the ultra sound scan, Mama brought you out to sit on the Giraffe ride where both Mama and you went round and round the lobby area. :D

After the check up, we drove down to Grandma’s place for dinner. It was her birthday today! We drove down to the nearby mall after we’d picked her up from her place. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant there. After dinner, we walked around to buy some stuff before heading home.

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Papa and Mama love you, Lil’ One!

House Building

Dearest Skyler,

Mama and you built a house today out of all the rubber foam boards that you had. :D It was so cool! :D However, as it was made out of rubber boards, it didn’t stay up long. :p

In the evening, after Papa came home, we pumped up your swimming float and brought you swimming. Mama was supposed to swim as well but she was so hungry that she had to look for food. Papa and you went into the pool on our own.

You so enjoyed having the float but you didn’t like the sensation of floating. :p Thus, we didn’t really use it very much. You also kept up your habit of walking from one pool to another even though it was quite cold outside of the pool. :p

We drove down to the Point for dinner after the swim before heading home.

Papa and Mama love you!

Skyler’s Grandparents Visit

Dearest Skyler,

Popo and Gong-gong came to visit today. You, as usual, were so looking forward to their visit.

You played with them the whole afternoon and you even got them to dance to the chicken song that you have on the Elmo toy. :D They then brought you downstairs for a walk.

Papa came back in the evening and we drove down to the Point to have dinner at the same Chinese restaurant as last night. This is the only food that Mama wanted to eat. :D

We then walked around a bit before heading home.

Papa and Mama love you!

Chinese Food

Dearest Skyler,

You spent the whole day at home with Mama today.

Papa came home in the evening and we drove down to the Point to have our dinner at the Chinese restaurant.

We then walked around a bit before heading home. We couldn’t get you to bed as early as before as we spent quite a bit of time having dinner and Papa’d come home so late.

Papa and Mama love you!

Celebrating Grandma’s Birthday

Dearest Skyler,

Papa and you went down to celebrate Grandma’s birthday today. It’s not really her birthday today but we had to celebrate it early in case Papa couldn’t make it on the actual day. :p

We went down to pick her up and then brought her down to the nearby mall for lunch. We had lunch at the Fish and Co where you had some soup and some of Grandma’s fish.

After lunch, we walked around a bit before heading upstairs to look for ice cream. We stopped over at the Haagen Daazs and ate there. You so enjoyed the ice cream. :D

We then brought Grandma home and you once again enjoyed jumping on her bed.

After we got home, we brought Mama out to the Point to have our dinner. We then walked around a bit before heading home.

Papa and Mama love you!

Chinese New Year Shopping

Dearest Skyler,

We got up early to go down for your gym session today. We made it just in time! It was quite crowded today with lots of parents and their kids in there! :D

You were so much more comfortable today. You stayed with the group throughout the opening session where we did the activities together. You didn’t really want to do it with the others even though we know that you can do them as you do them all the time. :p Oh well… However, you did some of the stuff like the parachute thingy. :D

After we went to explore on our own, you did a lot of things as usual. The new thing that they taught was for you to roll over a donut … err … I mean do a forward roll over a piece of equipment that they name the donut. :D You so enjoyed it that you did it three times! This was even though the teacher was the one who helped you! You allowed her to help you that is. (Teacher Eunice had wanted to help you earlier with the low parallel bars but you didn’t want to be near her then but when no one was there, you climbed up the bars. :p)

They also tried to teach sign language today but you’re so way past that stage already. We hardly sign with you anymore as you can so speak to us. :D

After the gym, we dropped by McDonald’s for a Milo before heading to Gong-gong and Popo’s place for lunch. We met Kow-fu and Kow-moh there. We all ate before you played with all of them. They all so enjoyed giving you attention and you of course enjoyed all the attention. :D Dai-bat-gong gave you a magna-doodle toy and we let you draw during lunch. :D They also gave you a doll and Moh-moh played with it with you. :D

We headed off to United Square to shop for your New Year clothes after that. We managed to find something that we thought was quite nice. You were willing to try on so many of the clothes. :D

We then headed home for a nap. We all slept for quite some time. :D

In the evening, Papa brought you out to 888 to buy dinner back. You’re so cute! We had seen the Lunar New Year display they had there last night and you wanted to see it again. When we got there, you pointed at the mouse and ingot lanterns and named them! :D Skyler, you’re such a good girl and a great joy to be with! Papa so loves to hang out with you! :D

We quickly rushed home after getting our stuff. Papa had always told you that Mama was hungry and tonight, you, on your own told Papa, “Mama hungry!” :D

After dinner, we went through our usual night routine before going to bed.

Papa and Mama love you!

Mice and Ingots

Dearest Skyler,

Mama and you spent the day playing teacher and students. Well, not both of you role playing but Noah and his animals. :p Mama got you to play with the Noah’s Ark toy that we got and appointed Noah as the teacher. All his animals were his students. Both of you then got Noah to teach all the animals all kinds of things and even taught them how to sleep. :D

You also got to watch lots of TV as Mama was quite tired. And as she was tired, she had to take a couple of naps and you joined her in doing that. :D

Papa left work earlier today to spend a bit more time with you. Papa misses spending time with both of you so much! Papa had thought of bringing you to the zoo as you wanted to visit the elephants. But it was raining so we had to scrap that idea. We spent the evening at home instead.

Papa brought you to 888 to get dinner. They had changed the tableau display that they had there. They’ve changed it for the Lunar New Year so they had mice and gold ingot lanterns – symbols of the coming Lunar New Year. You were so fascinated with the lights. :D We also took a short walk around the place while buying food and as we walked past the doctor’s clinic, you pointed at it and said, “Doctor!” :D Well, we haven’t visited him for a long while now as you’re such a healthy girl! :D

We then rushed the food home as Mama was hungry and after dinner, we went through our usual routine before bedtime. :D

Papa and Mama love you!

A Slow Day

Dearest Skyler,

Mama and you dropped by Aunty Christine's to give them tofu from last night's dinner.

After coming back, Mama and you continued to play with the Pooh bear toys. :D

Papa came back earlier today. We all drove down to the Point for dinner. We ate at the Chinese restaurant.

We then tried to get you a Chinese New Year dress but couldn't get you something very nice. We'll try again.

Papa and Mama love you!

Dr Owl

Dearest Skyler,

Mama and you played Dr Owl today. You both pulled out all the Winnie the Pooh and Friends figurines that Aunty Lin Lin gave you and played with them. Mama decided to have Owl be a doctor and you both played doctor. :D

You were also a very good girl today. You totally let Mama nap when she needed to. You just lay in bed with her and napped too though you weren't sleepy at all.

Papa came back after work and brought all of us out to the Point to get dinner. We had to make several stops as we had to get stuff from all over. :p

We then went home to eat and prepare for bed.

Papa and Mama love you!

Potty Training

Dearest Skyler,

Mama started you on potty training today. We've tried before but we think you're finally ready for a serious attempt.

You were put in panties and brought to the potty every half hour. You didn't get it at all. :p You kept on peeing while walking around. Even when Mama asked you whether you were peeing while you were you said you weren't! Mama had to clean a few puddles today.

You were quite cooperative with Mama about napping though. Mama brought you to nap twice today and you obediently napped both times. :D

Papa came home in the late evening as he had to attend a meeting that ended quite late. We all drove off to the Chinese restaurant at the Point for dinner.

We bought a few things before coming home.

We love you!

Skyler See, Skyler Do

Dearest Skyler,

You were so looking forward to Gong-gong and Popo's visit today. You actually didn't want to nap in the morning but Mama thought it would be good for you to do so so that you would be awake when they came. When Mama told you that, you immediately went to bed. When you awoke, one of the first things you did was ask Mama if they'd arrived. :D

Gong-gong came first and Popo came later. You once again totally enjoyed your time with them. They played with you and totally occupied your time. Popo had to go off earlier as she had a client to meet. Gong-gong stayed on to play with you.

When Papa came home, Gong-gong prepared to go home. You so wanted to continue playing with him that you quickly grabbed your socks and got Gong-gong to help you put them on. Then you wanted to have your shoes on as well so that you could go with Gong-gong. It took us quite some time to convince you to stay at home with us. :p

We then had dinner and did some of our evening activities.

Later, Papa fed you your night milk. Suddenly, you dashed off leaving Papa wondering what you were up to. You came back with an empty ice tray and pretended to put ice cubes into your milk! You were copying Papa! It was so funny!

We then put you to bed quite early. We've been doing so since Papa's term started. You've been able to sleep quite well on your own since you've been sleeping on our bed. We hope you'll be used to your own bed soon.

Papa and Mama love you!

Visiting A New Church

Dearest Skyler,

We went to Aldersgate Methodist Church this morning to show some support for Kow-fu who was being introduced to the church. We got there just in time!

You were able to sit through most of the service without making any noise. Well done, Lil' One! It was only towards the end that you got restless so Mama then Papa brought you outside for a walk. Papa brought you to the canteen where we got a drink and we looked at birds and such. :D

After the service ended, we walked over to Kow-fu's office to visit.

We all went for lunch at the Chinese restaurant in Holland Village. We had more dim sum there. :D

After we got home, we tried to get you to nap as we were all so tired. But you didn't want to. You wanted to sleep in your own room so Papa kept you company. You ended up wandering around the room for a long while before you got sleepy. You then fell asleep half on and half off your bed! :p Thus Papa pushed you onto the upper bed while he slept on the lower. Ü

In the evening, Papa went to the Point to get dinner and pick up lots of stuff. Mama had to care for you but she was so tired and felt terrible! Oh dear! Poor Mama!

After Papa got back, we had our dinner then prepared for sleep.

Papa and Mama love you!

Busy Day

Dearest Skyler,

We had an extremely busy day today, Lil' One!

First, we drove down to The Little Gym for your first gym lesson. Papa brought you in today while Mama waited outside as they only allowed one parent in at a time and Mama is carrying Baby.

You, as usual, refused to participate in the organised activity and just wandered off to do your own thing. Not only that, you also didn't let Papa stay with the group. When Papa let you go off on your own and didn't follow you, you started crying and scaring all the other kids there!

You enjoyed all the equipment there. You kept on wanting to hang onto the bars but you would then keep on saying 'No, no!' while you're hanging there and want to get off but you wouldn't just let go and land on your feet - you wanted Papa to support you down. :p You also enjoyed tumbling around and doing front rolls. :D

Second, we drove over to Gong-gong and Popo's place to visit. Our visit was a surprise to them as we hadn't told them we were coming. You played with them - climbing the stairs, driving your car, playing with your toys, etc. You had so much fun! And they had so much fun entertaining you! :D

Third, we brought Popo to work before parking at Chinatown Point where we were meeting Kow-fu and Kow-moh for lunch at the Mouth Restaurant. We had lots of dim sum. After lunch, Bubu wanted to let you ride on the kiddie rides but you were scared of those they had for some reason. Bubu and Moh-moh then left and we visited a few shops before heading home.

We had a nap once we got home.

Fourth, Grandma came in the evening to have dinner with us. We all drove down to the Point to eat at the Chinese restaurant. We were celebrating Grandma's Chinese birthday and Papa's passing his Master's degree requirements. :D Yay! Papa’s finally done! Papa needn’t go for lessons in the evening anymore thus he can spend all the time with Mama and you.

We had lots of food and to Papa's amazement, you kept on eating and eating! You even drank one whole glass of barley and some of another! You must have been so hungry!

As it was late by then, we brought Grandma to a bus stop for her to get a bus home while we headed home ourselves.

What a busy day!

Papa and Mama love you!

Grandparents Visit

Dearest Skyler,

You woke up early to see Papa off to work this morning. Papa made the time to feed you your morning milk before he left.

You went back to bed later. You got up when Gong-gong came to play with you. :D You both spent lots of time together. He also brought you downstairs for a walk.

After you both came back up, you took a nap before Popo came. You all then played with your things before all three of you went downstairs for a ride on your tricycle. By then Papa had come home with dinner.

Gong-gong and Popo left after dinner. They had so enjoyed spending time with you. :D

We then did our usual night routine before turning in.

Papa and Mama love you!

Papa Goes Back to Work

Dearest Skyler,

You spent 35 minutes alternating between wanting to go back to sleep and wanting your morning milk. Thus, you spent most of the time on the edge of the bed neither here nor there. :p Poor Lil’ Darling. You must have been so confused! Oh well… And Poor Mama! She couldn’t do anything either while waiting for you to make a decision. :p

You kept on asking Papa to come home as well as Papa was at work. Papa's so sorry, Lil' One. Papa has to work, okay? But Papa promises to make you his number one priority outside of working hours! :p

You asked to go to the zoo to visit the elephants. Thus, Papa tried to get home early enough to bring you but Papa couldn't. So sorry!

Papa came home and we drove to the Point for a spaghetti and pizza dinner. You also got to climb on your favourite ‘horse’ ride. :D Then we got home to rest.

We've decided to put you to bed earlier from today. Papa's tired from work and needs to wake up early in the mornings so we need to get to bed early, okay?

New Year's Day

Dearest Skyler,

It's New Year's Day today. It's also Ah-Pek's birthday. But we can't celebrate it with him as he's overseas with Ah-Em and your cousins. Oh well... Happy Birthday, Ah-Pek!

You were so cute today, you out of the blue asked to visit Grandma. So, we asked Grandma to meet us at Suntec City as we needed to get some things.

We had lunch at the Chinese restaurant before going to the Koi Garden to feed the fish and turtles. We then went to the supermarket to get more formula for you.

We then headed home.

We tried to get you to nap in your own bed but you didn't. Oh well... I guess you're not ready yet. We'll have to do up your room first, I guess.

Papa brought you out to get dinner as Mama still wasn’t feeling so well.

We ate dinner at home and spent the evening lazing around.
Happy New Year, Lil' One!

Papa and Mama love you!
